What is it?

Tixel is an advanced solution for multiple skin issues such as minor wrinkles, fine lines, acne scarring, and skin discoloration. Not only does this procedure enhance the skin's texture, but it also mitigates damage caused by sun exposure and photoaging. It even contributes to reducing pore visibility and minimizing the effects of acne scars. Typically, a complete treatment course involves three to four sessions, with a gap of one month between each session.

Those who opt for Tixel therapy often target areas like the face, particularly around the eyes and mouth, neck, décolletage, and even the area above the knees. This treatment is performed by our skilled providers at our medical practice in Clarkston and Oxford, Michigan.

What to expect

The procedure is non-invasive, with minimal recovery time and practically no downtime. Tixel employs a small metal plate equipped with titanium cones, which administer quick bursts of heat to your skin. Rather than using light, as seen in laser treatments, this heat is delivered through Thermo-Mechanical Action. As your skin heats up, your body naturally begins to generate collagen in that area.

Tixel is a treatment free of radiation, and it doesn't result in bleeding or scarring.

Following the treatment, your skin may exhibit slight swelling and redness for up to four hours. We will also guide you through simple home care routines that you can carry out to maximize your results.

If you are interested in learning more about this treatment, please contact us to schedule an appointment in one of our clinics located in Clarkston and Oxford, Michigan. Our skincare professionals will be happy to discuss the treatment details and the results you are aiming to achieve. Our dermatology clinic looks forward to serving you.
