Mohs Surgery
A surgery that cuts away thin layers of skin to address skin cancer. Mohs performed by our certified physicians has a high cure rate and minimizes damage to healthy tissue.
Excisions & Biopsies
Excisions are small surgeries to remove lesions from the body. They are done to remove a problematic lesion – like skin cancer – or to get a biopsy for laboratory diagnosis.
Skin Cancer Screenings
Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S. Regular screenings with your dermatologist find cancer earlier, minimizing risk of spread. Schedule your annual exam now!
Skin Cancer Treatment
Skin cancer is the uncontrolled overgrowth of abnormal skin cells. When caught early, it can be very treatable.
All Services
I humbly treat each patient as I would a close friend or family member. I strive to achieve the best possible outcome for the patient and believe in honest and open communication and providing education about their diagnosis and treatment options.

About Your Provider
Dr. Kopitzki was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan and attended Michigan State University for both undergraduate and medical school. He then went on to complete an internal medicine residency, as well as a dermatology residency, where he served as chief resident. After residency, he went on to complete his fellowship in Mohs surgery under the guidance of Roger Ceilley, MD, a former pupil of Dr. Mohs. He has performed over 20,000 cases and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs surgery.

Clinical interests include basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, actinic keratosis and surgical and non-surgical skin cancer treatments. Dr. Kopitzki performs Mohs and dermatologic surgeries and sees a limited number of general dermatology patients. He is also on staff at Beaumont Hospital, Trinity Health and McLaren Health.

Dr. Kopitzki is an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Michigan State University, where he teaches medical students and dermatology residents. He has lectured at national meetings, authored textbook chapters, and has been published in dermatologic literature.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, camping, fishing, fitness, volleyball and cooking on his big green egg.
